Abstract

En el marc d'un treball de recerca més ampli acabat foc pocs mesos, vaig retrobar, al foli 165 del manuscrit 1854 de la Biblioteca Nacional de Madrid, la còpia d'uns versos llatins escrits per Antonio Agustín. Són la còpia de vuit endecasíl·labs faleceus, en forma de missiva, que Agustín, futur arquebisbe de Tarragona i aleshores estudiant de dret a Bolonya, va escriure a tres dels seus amics - Juan Osorio, Jean Matal i un tal Gerónimo Calcena - convidant-los a dinar a ca seva.
