The purpose of this paper is to clarify the concept of notorious facts and explore their role in evidentiary reasoning. Even if the notorious facts category is frequently used in the evidence sphere, in general scholarly legal opinion has scarcely studied the notion underlying this term. Currently, this category should be problematized. This paper’s proposal includes defining notorious facts as statements on notoriously truthful facts; whether due to a certain social context or the reliable sources that may be easily reviewed. In this regard, two kinds of notoriousness should be distinguished: the known one and the easily knowable one
