El presente estudio analiza un conjunto de retratos del Renacimiento en los que figura inscrito en el lienzo un epigrama. El examen de una gavilla de composiciones breves permite indagar en varios de los aspectos más complejos de las relaciones entre texto e imagen en la Edad del Humanismo así como en la intensificación de la función panegírica de algunos retratos oficiales.
This study analyzes a set of Renaissance portraits in which an epigram is registered on the canvas. Examination of a group of short compositions can illuminate some of the most complex aspects of the relationship between text and image in the Age of Humanism and the intensification of panegyric function in some official portraits.
