Las Conjunciones y de español / i de ruso en la periferia oracional izquierda

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es estudiar algunos usos de la partícula y inicial en interacción con la modalidad interrogativa, por un lado, y el empaquetado de la información en el discurso, por otro. Además, la comparación con el ruso –lengua en que el nexo coordinante i puede alternar en algunos contextos con otra conjunción aditiva a– ayudará a entender mejor la naturaleza de ambas partículas. Se tendrá en cuenta el hecho de que la modalidad requiere un tratamiento transversal, puesto que se aloja en la interfaz entre diferentes componentes gramaticales: sintaxis, léxico, semántica, prosodia y pragmática. Este estudio está aún en fase muy incipiente, por lo que las conclusiones serán bastante parciales y deberán ser revisadas en cuanto se amplíe el objeto de estudio a otros usos de y, como, por ejemplo, en enunciados exclamativos.2 Finalmente, ofreceré un posible análisis sintáctico basado en la propuesta de Poletto (2005), por lo que es necesario hacer previamente un breve repaso del tratamiento que ha dado la gramática formal a la partícula y
