Generalización del Modelo de Regresión Lineal Múltiple: Modelos Lineales Mixtos

Abstract

En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se aborda una generalizaci´on del modelo de regresión lineal múltiple mediante la incorporación de efectos aleatorios, dando lugar a los modelos lineales mixtos. En primer lugar, se introducen los fundamentos básicos de la regresión lineal y, posteriormente, se desarrollan los aspectos teóricos de los modelos lineales mixtos, como la estimación de parámetros mediante el método de máxima verosimilitud o los contrastes de hipótesis, entre otros. A continuación, se aplican estos conceptos a un conjunto de datos reales de seis aerolíneas, con observaciones recogidas entre 1970 y 1984, con el objetivo de modelar el coste total de operación en función de distintas variables explicativas. Para ello, se realiza un análisis exploratorio de los datos, seguido de la construcción y comparación de varios modelos mixtos, evaluando tanto su capacidad de ajuste como su rendimiento predictivo.
