This academic work aims to explain the role of the Knowledge Intensive Business Services (KIBS) on the relationship between Social Capital and Innovation. We also explore KIBS firms interest analyzing their strategic planning (vision/mission statements, presentation or perspective) to see if they perceive “innovation” as a strategic goal, which may consider as a determinant of KIBS intention to foster innovation. Due to their relevance in the actual knowledge-based economy and market volatility, Social capital, KIBS and innovation acquire special attention in social researches, in the management and development fields. In addition to our interest in innovation, the choice of this topic is inspired by the same trend of these concepts.
