Comparación del sistema educativo dominicano vs. sistema educativo español

Abstract

Treball Final de Grau en Mestre o Mestra d'Educació Primària. Codi: MP1040. The idea of this work is to make a comparison between two education systems: the Spanish Education System and the Dominican Educational System. In order to do this, there was a research based on the laws that nowadays are governing both education systems. Through the experience as teachers in spanish schools and a dominican one, it has been analyzed, through observation and teaching practice, if these aspects are fulfilled or not. We have studied these differences analyzing four blocks specifically; the quality of education; educational principles and purposes that systems are based on; teachers: training, teaching status and career; and finally, the academic structure and basic aspects of the education system in both countries. One important issue is that through the comparisons between the two systems it has been detected if some of the legal documents were or were not fulfilled in these educational systems. Finally, after spending the last two months in the dominican education system, it has being found some weakness that we would like to give our opinion suggesting four proposals for improvement.
