Ética animal: pensar la tauromaquia

Abstract

Treball final de Grau en Humanitats: Estudis Interculturals. Codi: HU1036. Curs acadèmic 2014-2015 En el trabajo que se presenta a continuación se tratará de hacer un recorrido sobre el trato que se ha dado a los animales desde la historia hasta la actualidad, así como estudiar las distintas posturas filosóficas para poder tener una mirada amplia sobre la ética animal en general y la tauromaquia en particular. Posteriormente, se centrará en los puntos débiles de la protección animal en España, proponiendo la legislación y la educación como bases para poder cambiar la realidad de una sociedad conocida por ser poco proteccionista con los animales. Por último, se analizará más profundamente la cuestión de la tauromaquia, en la cultura española, con el propósito de hacer ver que será necesaria su abolición si se quiere avanzar hacia una sociedad más ética y justa con los animales.
