La dimensió pragmàtica de la neologia

Abstract

En aquest treball revisem la motivació i els efectes pragmàtics de les innovacions lèxiques. Per fer-ho, tenim en compte que els parlants d’una comunitat lingüística creen paraules noves amb diferents motivacions o intencions comunicatives. Així doncs, si apareix un nou concepte de la realitat, caldrà donar-li nom per poder fer-hi referència en un acte comunicatiu. Tanmateix, també es creen paraules noves amb altres finalitats. En alguns casos, aquestes innovacions lèxiques es creen amb una motivació pragmàtica, és a dir, per crear un determinat efecte en el receptor. Aquest tipus d’unitats s’integren en actes perlocutius perquè la finalitat de l’emissor és cridar l’atenció del receptor, convèncer-lo, generar una actitud determinada, marcar un estil propi, etc. A mode de conclusió, l’estudi realitzat posa de manifest que els aspectes pragmàtics d’aquest tipus d’unitats s’han estudiat de forma complementària en el marc d’altres aspectes lingüístics dels neologismes. Per aquest motiu, creiem que cal aprofundir en els aspectes bàsics i fonamentals de la dimensió pragmàtica dels neologismes.
