Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the syntactic terminology in the grammar of the Portuguese language published during the eighteenth century. In the first part, the methodological aspects that have served to develop and support the study are presented. In the second part, we proceed to the analysis of the terminology used by grammarians to refer to certain syntactic notions; especially, the more general ones, such as «syntaxe», «oração», «syntaxe regular», «concordancia», «regencia» /«reger».
