Impacto e adaptação psicológica ao COVID.19: um estudo qualitativo

Abstract

A pandemia COVID-19 constitui um importante desafio de saúde pública com implicações no bem-estar psicológico. Este estudo qualitativo procurou identificar fatores psicológicos associados à doença. Constou uma entrevista telefónica a 13 sujeitos internados com diagnosticados de COVID-19 e outros 13 que não tiveram a doença. Avaliaram-se os fatores de stress, as suas consequências psicológicas, as estratégias de confronto e a resiliência. O mais frequente fator de stress do primeiro grupo foi o medo de morrer e do segundo o medo de ser contaminado. Em ambos os grupos foi identificado o medo de contaminar os familiares. A principal consequência psicológica foi a ansiedade. As estratégias de enfrentamento foram o suporte da família e os sentimentos de esperança. Quanto à resiliência, o otimismo e o convívio com a família foram os aspetos mais frequentemente identificados. Os determinantes identificados devem ser tidos em conta na elaboração de estratégias de aconselhamento.
