Abstract

Canalejas de Puerto Real fue un cantaor de facultades vocales extraordinarias, que destacó por su gracia y capacidad para componer sus propias letras. Aunque en su producción discográfica abundan los cantes por fandangos y por bulerías, con el tiempo comenzó a prestar atención a los estilos mineros. De hecho, Canalejas fue una figura clave en los primeros años del Festival del Cante de las Minas de La Unión, donde en 1963 se alzó con la Lámpara Minera.
