Se propone una explicación de la hipnosis en términos teatrales. A este respecto, se analiza la estructura dramática del procedimiento hipnótico. Se observa que la hipnosis se atiene al proceder del desempeño de papeles. Concretamente, se repara en la interpretación del papel-de-hipnotizado, tanto en su aspecto de representación social como de experiencia privada. Se introduce la noción de autoengaño y se reivindica la figura del teatro como metáfora de la terapia.

An explanation of hypnosis in terms of theatre is proposed. In this respect, the dramatic structure of the hypnotic procedure is analysed. It can be observed that hypnosis follows the proceeding of the role enactment. More specifically, the interpretation of the hypnotic role is considered, both in terms of social representation and private experience. The notion of self-deception is introducted and the gigure of theatre as a metaphor of the therapy is climed.
