Abstract

A propagação de fendas é um dos principais mecanismos de ruína que afetam o desempenho de pavimentos flexíveis reabilitados. Este mecanismo ocorre pela presença de fendas no revestimento antigo que se propagam para a nova camada devido às cargas de tráfego e variações de temperatura. Prever adequadamente o comportamento do tipo de reforço escolhido é essencial para que a reabilitação do pavimento alcance a vida útil de projeto. Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a resistência (vida) à da propagação de fendas de misturas asfálticas com asfalto borracha. Em laboratório foram avaliadas três misturas com asfalto borracha e uma mistura convencional por meio do equipamento Reflective Cracking Device (RCD). Os resultados mostraram o efeito benéfico das misturas com asfalto borracha para retardar a propagação de trincas em pavimentos a serem reabilitados.
