A permeabilidade da fotografia ao imaginário

Abstract

It is said of the picture to be technical image, obtained in a more or less automated way through a machine. Flusser considers that the creative process is impeded considerably in these circumstances, remaining the photographer to make choices among programmed options; thereby the resulting product is not the man's creation but the machine’s. Flusser’s important alert on the shrinking of the creativity in the same rhythm of photographic images multiplication urges us to investigate the permeability of the picture to a more fertile imaginative attitude, that fi xed directly in the archetypal underground. We fell back upon the General Theory of the Imaginary, of Gilbert Durand, in the intention of examining the gesture and the photographic product in the context of the symbolic imagination.
