Eternidade, negação e conhecimento

Eternidade, negação e conhecimento

Abstract

It is not possible to understand what does the concept of eternity mean without a previous understanding of the kind of object to which it applies. In fact, in his famous work On Trinity, Boethius taught that the ten Aristotelian categories would universally apply to all things. However, when used to talk about God, the categories lose their usual meaning. A proof of this is that, if the usual significances of the categories are kept and so predicated of God one would have contradictory predications. In this article, I will explore that teaching showing in details the arising of the several kinds of contradiction associated to each one of the categorial predicates.
