El autor matiza en este estudio las críticas negativas que, en general, han recibido los premios literarios en nuestro país, por parte de la crítica seria, fundamentadas en el monopolio de algunos por el grupo de escritores y en la forma de censura que otros suponen. Amell destaca que, aun siendo de carácter comercial, han desempeñado un papel muy importante en la trayectoria de nuestra novela y de nuestros novelistas. The author clarifies in this study the negative critiques received in general by the literary awards in Spain, coming from the serious critics, based on the monopoly of some of this awards by the group of writers and in the kind of censorship that others suppose. Amell underlines that, even though they are of a commercial nature, this awards have developed and important role in the trajectory of the Spanish novel and Spanish novelists.
