Plataformas eletrónicas de gestão de alunos: A plataforma e360

Abstract

This study aims to examine the student management platform Escola-360, the objectives which led to its development and its performance, from the point of view of three different actors: the educational administration, school directors headteachers and class directors. Student management platforms are in use for several decades in other educational national contexts. The e360 is a centralized data system which aims to obtain data from schools serving the needs of the centralized administration only. The daily practices and informational needs of the teachers that operate the platform apparently have not been considered in the platform design and outputs. We tried to understand the extent to which the design and functionality of the platform served the needs of the different actors through the execution of semi-structured interviews with a representative of the educational administration, headteachers and class directors. The results show that the e360 serves mainly the interests and needs of services of the educational administration and school principals. The daily work of class directors did not obtain efficiency improvements since the parameterization of the platform did not take into account the needs of these educational actors.
