Ungdomsspråk i Skam

Abstract

Formålet med denne oppgaven er å undersøke hvilke valg de uprofesjonelle oversetterne – såkalte fansubbere – har tatt i oversettelsen av ungdomsspråket i serien, og hvordan disse valgene samsvarer med eksisterende teorier om oversettelse av ungdomsspråk. Analysen tar utgangspunkt i én episode fra den norske TV-serien SKAM, og forsøker å besvare følgende forskningsspørsmål gjennom kvalitativ metode: •Hvilke oversettelsestrategier er benyttet i de engelske og russiske undertekstene? •Hvilke utfordringer har fansubbere møtt i arbeidet med å oversette ungdomsspråket? •Hvordan samsvarer deres strategier med teori om oversettelse av denne typen språk? Den praktiske delen av oppgaven er konsentrert rundt en analyse av den andre episoden i sesong to av SKAM. Oppgaven er strukturert i følgende deler: innledning, bakgrunnsinformasjon, teori, metode, analyse, konklusjon og diskusjon.
