The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to present a generalization of quasi ideals, which have been introduced by Otto Steinfeld. In the year 1978 Steinfeld published the monograph “Quasi-ideals in Rings and Semigroups”, in which he studies quasi-ideals for both semigroups and rings, which can be considered to be intersections of a left ideal and a right ideal. In this work, we limit ourselves to generalizing quasi-ideals of a semigroup. For this purpose, we describe an object, similar to the quasi-ideal, over a biact and see which results from the mentioned monograph are possible to prove after making such a generalization.
Käesoleva bakalaureusetöö eesmärgiks on üldistada Otto Steinfeldi esitatud kvaasi-ideaali mõistet ning sellega seonduvaid tulemusi. Aastal 1978 ilmunud monograafias “Quasi-ideals in Rings and Semigroups” uurib Steinfeld nii poolrühmade kui ka ringide kvaasi-ideaale, mida võib mõista kui vasakpoolse ja parempoolse ideaali ühisosa. Üldistusprotsessis piirdume poolrühma kvaasi ideaali üldistamisega. Töö raames kirjeldame kvaasi-ideaalile analoogilist objekti üle bipolügooni ning uurime, millised tulemused, mainitud monograafiast on niisuguse üldistuse järel tõestatavad.
