After mentioning aspects such as the sociopolitical context in which Catullus writes, some significant biographical data of this author and theoretical information about his literary work, we will approach the analysis of the relationship between him and Lesbia throughout his poems. To do this, we will go through three clearly differentiated moments, such as the love illusion, the disappointment and the breakdown of this relationship, and we will make an analysis of the most significant poems of each part attending to aspects such as the lexicon and poetic images. This will allow us to group the compositions according to certain common characteristics. Thus, we will obtain a double perspective: linear, that is to say, in order of appearance, and transversal, which is based on topics and frequent tropes To conclude, we will elaborate a conclusion that gathers the results obtained from the study of those love poems that the author dedicates to this woman.

Tras hacer mención a aspectos como el contexto sociopolítico en que escribe Catulo, a algunos datos biográficos significativos de este autor y a información teórica sobre su obra literaria, abordaremos el análisis de la relación entre él y Lesbia a través de sus poemas. Para ello, recorreremos tres momentos claramente diferenciados, como son la ilusión amorosa, el desengaño y la ruptura de esta relación, y haremos un análisis de los poemas más significativos de cada una de las partes atendiendo a aspectos como el léxico y las imágenes poéticas. Esto nos permitirá agrupar las composiciones según ciertas características comunes. Así, obtendremos una doble perspectiva: lineal, es decir, según el orden en que aparecen los poemas en el Liber, y transversal, basada en tópicos e imágenes recurrentes. Para finalizar, elaboraremos una conclusión que recoja los resultados del estudio de aquellos poemas amorosos que el autor dedica a esta mujer.
