Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta una breve investigación sobre temas tan de actualidad como son mindfulness e inteligencia emocional. El objetivo principal es mostrar la relación existente entre ambos constructos, y mostrar la utilidad de integrar ambas disciplinas en el ámbito de la educación gracias a la revisión bibliográfica y a la investigación llevada a cabo. Por un lado, con el mindfulness tomamos conciencia de los acontecimientos internos y externos que experimentamos en cualquier momento del día, con actitud de aceptación y apertura. Y por otro lado, la inteligencia emocional incide en la importancia de identificar, clarificar, expresar y reparar nuestra vivencia emocional. En primer lugar, se ha realizado una revisión de la literatura científica existente sobre el tema y todas las publicaciones encontradas se han ordenado para facilitar su compresión. Estas publicaciones han ido acompañadas y apoyadas por un estudio experimental realizado a 473 personas a partir de la edad de 18 años, con la ayuda de dos instrumentos cuantitativos de recogida de datos: el test KIMS de mindfulness y EQ-i de inteligencia emocional. De este modo, se pondrá de manifiesto las relaciones existentes entre mindfulness e inteligencia emocional. Las dos están conectadas porque tienen el fin de proporcionarle al ser humano su autoconocimiento propio y su conocimiento de todo aquello que le rodea. Esto hace que trabajando las dos disciplinas conjuntamente se obtengan resultados significativos en el área de la educación y la psicoterapia.

This work is presented a brief research on topics such as mindfulness and emotional intelligence. The main objective is to show the relationship between both constructs, and show the utility of integrating both disciplines in the field of education through literature review and the research carried out. On the one hand, with the mindfulness we become aware of internal and external events that we experience at any time of the day, with attitude of acceptance and openness. And on the other hand, the emotional intelligence has an impact on the importance of identifying, clarifying, express and repairing our emotional experience. First, a review of existing scientific literature on the subject has been and all found publications have been ordered to facilitate their understanding. These publications have been accompanied and supported by a pilot study 473 persons from the age of 18 years, with the help of two quantitative data collection instruments: the KIMS of mindfulness and EQ-i emotional intelligence test. In this way, will be shown the relationships between mindfulness and emotional intelligence. The two are connected because they have to provide the human being his own self and his knowledge of everything that surrounds him. This makes that the two disciplines working obtained significant results in the area of education and psychotherapy.
