Búsqueda de prototipos en dicrómatas R-V: capacidad predictiva de dos modelos

Abstract

Tres grupos de observadores (controles, protanopes y deuteranopes) participaron en una tarea de búsqueda visual (mejor ejemplar de una categoría cromática básica). La tarea se realizó con relativamente pocos errores, lo que confirma resultados anteriores y se relaciona con la alta especificidad psicofísica de los colores de superficie. Los datos sirvieron para comparar la capacidad predictiva de dos modelos. Uno (modelo A) asumió que los dicrómatas R-V sólo diferencian los colores en base a L*T y a’ (claridad transformada y saturación). Otro (modelo B) asumió que, además de lo anterior, también diferencian colores en base a la actividad residual del mecanismo R-V.
