This article describes the development of an open-source morphological analyser for Bengali Language using finite-state technology. First we discuss the challenges of creating a morphological analyser for a highly inflectional language like Bengali and the propose a solution to that using lttoolbox, an open-source finite-state toolkit. We then evaluate the performance of our developed system and propose ways of improving it further.
