Abstract

I denne masteroppgaven studerer jeg hvordan spanske ordbøker definerer ord som brukes for å omtale sigøynere som folkegruppe i det spanske språket. Videre gjør jeg en leksikografisk og sosiolingvistisk studie om ord som brukes i Øst-Andalucia som kommer fra Caló-språket. I begge studiene ser jeg på hvilke konnotasjoner de utvalgte ordene har og i hvilken sosial situasjon de brukes. Studiet baserer seg et spørreskjema og tre digitale verktøy. Av disse har jeg først brukt søkemotoren NTTLE for å se på den semantiske utviklingen av ordene fra første gang de ble inkorporert i en ordbok og frem til i dag. I tillegg har jeg brukt to digitale korpus, CORDE og CREA, for å se om ordene har blitt og blir anvendt med den samme betydningen som står i ordbøkene, eller om de blir brukt med andre betydninger. Eksempler på bruken av ordene er tatt 1200-tallet frem til i dag.
