Este trabajo analiza el concepto de Modernismo en la literatura inglesa, aportando una interpretación estricta en cuanto a sus límites, representantes y rasgos característicos. Se define el Modernismo inglés como un movimiento literario que se desarrolla únicamente en la narrativa y la poesía durante el primer tercio del siglo xx, y que se caracteriza, entre otros aspectos, por una experimentación formal, una temática común, la presencia constante de motivos mitológicos, la influencia de autores procedentes del continente europeo y un distanciamiento del autor con respecto al público en general.
