Abstract

En el presente trabajo queremos reseñar algunos documentos existentes en el Archivo Nacional por su interés para el estudio del episcopado y la educación superior en Cuba. En los fondos manuscritos consultados se han rastreado papeles pertenecientes al periodo colonial y han sido fundamentalmente: Reales Órdenes y Cédulas y Audiencia de Santo Domingo; a los que añadimos dos documentos pertenecientes al Fondo de la Academia de la Historia, incorporado al Archivo Nacional.
