Abstract

El Siervo libre de Amor sigue dando pie a encendidos análisis sobre su significado final. En este artículo se explora la función y sentido de Sindéresis, racionalidad/irracionalidad amorosa, así como el significado del 51 menos estudiado tema de la amicitia en la obra, entre otros. Y ello se hace en el contexto de una comparación de dicha obra con la trilogía de Boncompagno da Signa sobre el amor y la vejez, La rueda del Amor, Los males de la vejez y senectud y La amistad

Siervo libre de Amor is still very much a puzzling work for critics trying to determine its final meaning. In this article, I explore -among others- topics such as Sindéresis, love rationality/irrationality, as well as the meaning of amicitia in Rodríguez del Padrón's work. This analysis is based on a comparison between Siervo and a trilogy of works written by Boncompagno da Signa: Rota Veneris, De amicitia. De malo senectutis et senii
