Abstract

The first Town hall of the Royal Site of San Ildefonso was created in 1810 may. Although the Royal Site was the cradle of the Borbon family in Spain, that town hall was settled by José I Bonaparte, Napoleon youngest brother, during the War of Independence (1808-1814) and using the Constitutionof Bayona (1808). The aim of this article is to explore the moment of installation of this first Royal Site of San Ildefonso town hall, its weird circumstances and the consequences of this historical fact.
