Diseño de paneles rigidizados de materiales compuestos

Abstract

El uso de paneles rigidizados de materiales compuestos ha tenido un rápido crecimiento durante las últimas décadas, siendo en las industrias aeronáutica y aeroespacial donde mayor desarrollo y aplicación han tenido. El empleo de materiales compuestos para su fabricación permite adaptar las propiedades del elemento estructural a los requisitos deseados de rigidez y resistencia. Sin embargo, a cambio de estas cualidades, los paneles rigidizados de materiales compuestos presentan una mayor complicación en su análisis. En la actualidad, para llevar a cabo el diseño y análisis de paneles rigidizados es necesario utilizar el método de elementos finitos, siendo necesario desarrollar sofisticados modelos e invertir gran cantidad de tiempo en la resolución y esfuerzo en la interpretación de resultados. Por ello, sería deseable contar con un método rápido que ayudara a conseguir un diseño óptimo. El objetivo de este proyecto es crear una herramienta de software que simplifique la tarea de diseño preliminar de paneles rigidizados de materiales compuestos. Con esta herramienta, se consiguen automatizar e integrar algunas de las tareas que se llevan a cabo en la fase de diseño, en concreto la definición de la estructura del panel, la generación de la malla y el análisis de elementos finitos. Asimismo, la herramienta permite visualizar la carga crítica de pandeo y la deformada de la estructura. Tras construir la herramienta de software SPD “Stiffened Panel Design”, ésta se ha empleado para resolver diversos casos de paneles rigidizados reales. Así, la herramienta queda verificada y la validez de sus resultados, garantizada.
