Abstract

En nuestra vida diaria, nos encontramos infinidad de elementos que experimentan algún tipo de interacción con el ambiente que les rodea. Éstos hacen nuestro entorno más cómodo y agradable tanto funcional como estéticamente. Los materiales empleados requerirán un tipo de recubrimiento para hacer que sus propiedades mecánicas, físicas, eléctricas o simplemente su apariencia permanezcan intactas por más tiempo. El presente proyecto está basado en la alternativa de utilizar un pretratamiento diferente a los convencionales, siendo éste el uso de plasma, sobre dos aleaciones de aluminio y otras dos de acero utilizado en los elementos arquitectónicos y útiles cotidianos con el fin de determinar la durabilidad y adherencia de los diferentes sustratos recubiertos con una pintura en polvo, una vez puestos en servicio. Para ello el estudio se va a basar en las Marcas de Calidad Qualicoat y Qualisteelcoat, las cuales detallan una serie de ensayos tanto de tipo mecánico como químico para evaluar el comportamiento del recubrimiento sobre el metal, aluminio y acero respectivamente. El resultado de los ensayos determinados para cada uno de los sustratos metálicos indicará si éstos pasan o no los requerimientos. Todos los ensayos realizados y demás características presentes en este proyecto han sido realizados bajo las Normas ISO, cuya principal finalidad es orientar, coordinar, simplificar y unificar los usos para conseguir menores costes y aumentar la eficacia.
