Children's literature has had a great development in Spain and in Latin America during the past thirty years: as a matter of fact, now it fills an important socio-cultural and economic role. The object of this article is to describe a comic book included in a series called Munihistorietas, produced by the Lima City Hall and dedicated to the life of Garcilaso de la Vega el Inca. The Comentarios Reales are illustrated in this historieta through the Inca traditions, their persecutions and Garcilaso's journey to Spain.
