Echo Lakes are a pair of small, shallow lakes arranged in series in a park in Union County. They drain a small watershed of primarily residential/commercial lands via two small tributaries. As part of an aesthetic park setting, these lakes have experienced fishing, boating and skating activities in the past. Such use decreased somewhat in years leading up to this study due to sedimentation and productivity problems. This study was conducted to further characterize the lake and the causes of its conditions.
