The Thesis aims to assess the feasibility of creating a positive energy quarter in a cultural and historic urban environment by using hygrothermal insulation from the inside. The purpose of the research is to find the solution to the dilemma between preserving heritage and improving energy efficiency in historic buildings. One solution to this dilemma is to insulate the inside of the building while improving its energy efficiency. However, this solution contributes to changes in the hygrothermal processes of the building, which can lead to undesirable consequences such as mould, brick crumbling, etc.
