Los rumiantes (Artiodactyla, Mammalia) del Mioceno inferior del área de Lisboa (Cuenca del Tajo, Portugal).

Abstract

Se estudian los rumiantes de los yacimientos de las unidades IVb, Va y Vb del área de Lisboa, determinándose las siguientes formas: En la unidad IVb Amphitragulus aurelianensis Mayet; Procervulus dichotomus (Gervais); Lagomeryx minimus (Meyer); Palaeomerycidae indet. y Eotragus artenensis Ginsburg y Heintz. En la unidad Va Dorcatherium crassum (Lartet); Amphitragulus aurelianensis Mayet y Palaeomerycidae indet. En la unidad Vb Dorcatherium crassum (Lartet); Procervulus dichotomus (Gervais); Lagomeryx minimus (Meyer) y Palaeomerycidae indet. A excepción de los restos pertenecientes a paleomerícidos, que son relativamente abundantes, el resto de las especies determinadas están escasamente representadas. Las mayores diferencias de estas asociaciones portuguesas de rumiantes con respecto a sus coetáneas del resto de la Península Ibérica son: presencia en los yacimientos más antiguos de Amphitragulus aurelianensis, especie nunca citada en España, y probable ausencia en las asociaciones más modernas (unidad Vb) de Micromeryx flourensianus y de bóvidos, ambos bastante abundantes en las faunas españolas con Hispanotherium de la parte superior de la zona D.
