Carmen y el sabotaje en el ballet

Abstract

En 1966 la bailarina rusa Maya Plisetskaya le hizo un encargo al por aquel entonces coreógrafo del Ballet Nacional de Cuba Alberto Alonso: quería encarnar el personaje de Carmen en el ballet. Hasta el momento, la novela de Merimée había sido musicalizada por Bizet en forma de Ópera y existía solo una versión realizada para el ballet en 1949, la del francés Roland Petit. Para ello Alberto Alonso realizó unos “esbozos” de la coreografía en Cuba, con Alicia Alonso, antes de presentarla en la URSS. Y así, nacieron dos propuestas escénicas completamente diferentes bajo un mismo texto coreográfico. El efecto que provoca la experiencia de ver bailar a Alicia Alonso nada tiene nada que ver con la de Plisetskaya, a pesar de la perfección técnica en la interpretación de esta última. ¿Por qué? ¿Qué encierra la interpretación de la cubana que atrae al espectador y singulariza la expresión del cuerpo en movimiento?Como indica Manuel Asensi en su Crítica y sabotaje (2011), “el cine, la televisión, las páginas web, los periódicos (…) son medios a través de los cuales se cumple la acción modeladora de los aparatos ideológicos heterogéneos y plurales del Estado, o del Imperio”, y del mismo modo el discurso de la danza también evidencia la construcción de un modelo de mundo que captura imaginariamente al sujeto a través de una estructura silogística concreta. Así pues, desde el ejercicio práctico de la crítica como sabotaje nos preguntaremos acerca de ¿qué modelo de mundo subyace en la interpretación de Alicia Alonso? ¿Cómo se construye el silogismo en su discurso? ¿Cuál es la dirección ideológica que toma dicha modelización? ¿Y hasta qué punto esta “logra que los individuos participen de ella mediante sus acciones y sus discursos”?
