Cet article porte sur Enrique Dussel, sur son evolution dans l'elaboration d'une philosophie ethique de la liberation. Depuis sa these de doctorat sur le bien commun d'apres Charles De Koninck et Jacques Maritain, jusqu'a son dernier ouvrage sur l'architectonique d'une ethique de la liberation, il a discute et integre a sa propre pensee des elements de Marx, de Heidegger et de Apel. Mais l'influence principale a ete celle d'Emmanuel Levinas, qui se situe a la racine meme de la pensee de Dussel, en tant qu'interpellation de l'Autre exclu.
