Abstract

Dans ce texte on a étudié les relations entre Langue, Nation et État, particulièrement celles qui existent entre État-Nation et langue nationale. On a étudié également les problèmes ayant trait au rôle des langues officielles dans les pays multinationaux. Finalement, j’ai insisté sur les différences et ressemblances existant entre langue nationale et langue officielle, en suggérant que l’imposition d’une langue unique, qu’elle soit nationale ou officielle, semble être davantage liée à l’existence d’un certain type d’État centralisé qu’à un mode de production particulier.
