Agriculture urbaine et autogestion à Cuba

Abstract

Cet article a pour objet l’etude de l’agriculture cubaine depuis la revolution de 1959, et notamment son emergence au cours des annees 90. L’agriculture urbaine a contribue autant a assurer la securite alimentaire du pays qu’a construire une economie moins centralisee et plus autonome par rapport au pouvoir politique a Cuba, grâce au developpement d’unites economiques democratiques et autogerees, fondees sur les principes de solidarite, d’attention au bien-etre de la communaute et de respect de la nature. Cette nouvelle forme d’economie sociale se differencie des entreprises capitalistes, dont l’objectif est la concentration de pouvoirs et l’accumulation de richesses et de capital a travers l’exploitation du travail et de la nature. Elle se distingue egalement des traditionnelles entreprises etatiques cubaines, au sein desquelles les initiatives individuelles et la creativite des travailleurs sont limitees.
