During September–November 2000 and April 2001 trial and salvage excavations were conducted along the northern fringes of Tel Yavne (A-3286, A-3396; map ref. NIG 1761/6418; OIG 1261/1418), prior to the construction of a residential neighborhood. The excavations, on behalf of the Antiquities Authority, were directed by R. Kletter, with the assistance of L.
