
In January 2021, a trial excavation was conducted c. 50 m east of the Forester’s House in Yattir Forest (Permit No. A-8948; map ref. 203285/582729; Fig. 1) following damage to antiquities during the laying of sewage infrastructure. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Jewish National Fund, was directed by S. Shaked (field photography), with the assistance of A. Levi-Hevroni (assistant excavation director), Y. Alamor (administration), E. Aladjem (surveying and drafting), A. Fraiberg (digital documentation), Y. Abadi-Reiss (flints and pottery) and A. Golani (scientific guidance).
