In June-July 2015, a trial excavation was conducted in northern Tel Aviv (Permit No. A-7448; map ref. 181863-2204/670608-1765; Fig. 1), prior to the construction of a new neighborhood (the South Gelilot Project). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by Yahal Engineers, was directed by E. Haddad, with the assistance of L. Trial trenches were excavated at the site by H. Venda and A. Buchennino prior to the archaeological excavation.
