
In March 2015, a salvage excavation was conducted near a tributary of Nahal Yimla, west of Ramat Bet Shemesh B (Permit No. A-7411; map ref. 199861-981/625704-86), prior to the expansion of a water tower. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by Mei-Shemesh, was directed by B. Storchan, with the assistance of R. Abu-Halaf (administration), A. Peretz (photography), M. Kahan, A. Hajian and M. Kunin (surveying and drafting), N. Zak (final plans), D. Levi (GPS) and N. Ben-Ari (archeological inspection).
