In December 2011-January 2012, a trial excavation was conducted at the site of Rasm el-'Arus, near Moshav Amazya (Permit No. A-6371; map ref. 190677-821/605391-511), prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Housing, was directed by Y. Abadi-Reiss, with the assistance of Y.
