Abstract

During August-September 2010, a salvage excavation was conducted at the Remez neighborhood at Lod, within the area of two adjacent building lots (Permit No. A-5993; map ref. 190468-819/651560-912), prior to private development. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the Israel Lands Administration, was directed by A. Golani, with the assistance of R. Abu-Halaf, Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), A. Hajian and M. Kunin (surveying), A. Peretz (field photography), A. Shadman (archaeological inspection), A. Re'em (district archaeologist), I. Berin and B. Antin (drafting and final plans), R. Gat, M. Bein and N. Aloni (pottery restoration), H. Khalaily (flint processing), Y. Gorin-Rosen, N. Katznelson and T. Winter (glass processing) and I. Lidsky-Reznikov (artifact drawing).
