En torno al agnosticismo

Abstract

El artículo analiza el surgimiento y desarrollo del agnosticismo en relación con la evolución de la razón moderna y su tensión con la religión. Sostiene que, desde la Edad Media hasta la modernidad, se produce una progresiva separación entre fe y razón, culminando en un racionalismo que limita el conocimiento a lo empírico y científico. Este proceso, impulsado por autores como Immanuel Kant o Thomas Hobbes, conduce a la desacralización del mundo y a la exclusión de Dios del ámbito cognoscible. El agnosticismo emerge así como una postura que niega la posibilidad de conocer racionalmente lo divino, en contraste con el teísmo y el ateísmo. El texto también recorre antecedentes históricos desde la filosofía griega hasta la escolástica, mostrando la persistencia del problema.
