Abstract

La información que el NT transmite sobre María, además de ser escasa, queda subordinada a la confesión de Cristo Jesús. El artículo relee los dos episodios del cuarto evangelio en los que aparece la madre de Jesús para evidenciar el papel de ‘educadora’ de la fe del discípulo de Jesús. Es un hecho que la madre de Jesús estuvo presente en el momento en que se originó la fe de sus discípulos (Jn 2,1-11) y cuando está se revalidó definitivamente (Jn 19, 25-27). Pero antes de que María interviniera en la vida de los discípulos, los textos parecen sugerir cierto adiestramiento de la madre, realizado por el hijo. María fue, primero, ‘educada’ por Jesús, antes de que ella se hiciera presente activamente en el nacimiento de la fe y de la fidelidad de los discípulos de Jesús.
