Abstract

Ehrfurcht und Respekt vor dem Leben in all seinen Erscheinungsformen sind die Voraussetzung für das Erwachen eines Verantwortungsgefühls gegenüber der Natur, den Mitmenschen und sich selbst. Diese Empfindungen können geweckt werden durch ein lebensvolles, von Dankbarkeit getragenes Verhältnis zur Schöpfung. In den Erzählungen für die Unterstufe stehen Grundfragen des Menschseins und das Erleben der in der Natur waltenden Weisheit im Mittelpunkt. Alles Sein ist von Gott getragen und durchdrungen. »Religiöse Stimmung« bedeutet hier, dass die Schüler Dankbarkeit gegenüber allem was ist, Liebe zu allen Wesen sowie Achtung vor dem Göttlichen und dem Andern empfinden lernen. Werden diese Empfindungen gepflegt, bilden sich Fähigkeiten aus, die zugleich die Grundlage jedes sozialen und ethischen Handelns sind.
