Abstract

El libro Apariencias de persuasión. Construyendo significados en el arte agrega la aportación de investigadores de diversas instituciones y áreas de conocimiento. Los diecisiete capítulos que lo componen tienen como hilo conductor común el estudio de la imagen y la apariencia desde enfoques diferentes. Se ha querido introducir en el título la palabra persuasión, que es compañera cuanto menos provechosa de los dos conceptos mencionados. En la segunda parte del Quijote Cervantes habla de “persuasión y buenas razones”, que esperamos hayan guiado este compendio, y no que la persuasión haya acarreado “desatinos y locuras”, como señala Lope de Vega en El peregrino en su patria.
