Implementación de un modelo matemático distribuido de escurrimiento superficial en la cuenca del Río Tercero – Carcaraña

Abstract

Se presenta la implementación y calibración preliminar de un modelo matemático distribuido, hidrológico-hidráulico físicamente basado en la cuenca del río Tercero-Carcaraña (provincias de Córdoba y Santa Fe). La cuenca tiene una superficie de aproximadamente 61.454 km² y su principal curso es el río Tercero – Carcaraña, con descarga al río Coronda a la altura de Puerto Gaboto. Se utilizó como modelo digital del terreno la información proveniente de la misión SRTM, con agregamiento en celdas de 900 m x 900 m. Adicionalmente se contó con información de red de cursos desde cartas topográficas del IGN, imágenes Google Earth ©; recorridas de campo y proyectos existentes. El modelo quedó constituido con 75.870 celdas y una red de cursos de 1.705 km y fue calibrado preliminarmente con información hidrológica e hidráulica de tres eventos extraordinarios. Para avanzar en el conocimiento de la mecánica de propagación del escurrimiento una primer aplicación consistió en la determinación de la incidencia de los aportes superficiales provenientes de unidades areales elementales en 17 puntos característicos de la red de cursos principales. Si bien se evidencia un severo déficit de información, los primeros resultados obtenidos en la transformación lluvia caudal y propagación de escurrimiento superficial son aceptables.
